I have searched the internet for the the best sweet and sour sauce, and finally after much research went back to basics. I starting with pineapple juice adding ingredients one by one and testing as I go. I found that cider vinegar was better suited to my pallet than white wine vinegar, and leaving the soy sauce out altogether made it taste to much of pineapple.
